Quality of Tea lies in selection of Tea leaves for production. Generally Tea is produced with one bud plus 3 to 4 leaves or more leaves depending upon the verity of Tea produced.
Bamatea is produced plucking only the fine leaf that is the youngest leaf and bud. Quality of Tea produced using fine leaf is the highest quality among all Tea verities. The process of producing Tea with fine leaf is long and stringent and it requires more leaf for the same quantity of Tea produced compared to other verities, thereby the production cost also more compared to other verities of Tea. Furthermore, the Tea produced with fine leaf is tastier than any other Tea.
